Staging

We are in the midst of staging our house for photos for its MLS Internet Listing.  Getting a house ready to sell is insanely tedious and tiring!

More pictures to come but here is our “Shed” all staged up.  Please note: Toddler does not convey.

Just a lot going on

So no one’s posted much of anything lately, even though we’re just using this one blog.  What can I say?  Bean keeps us pretty busy.  Right now she is working on a watercolor masterpiece in the dining room and letting me enjoy a latte on the sofa.  I’m taking a break from packing up kitchen non-essentials because we’re getting the house gussied up to put on the market.

In April it will be 10 years since we bought it.  This little 2 bedroom 1930′s bungalow has gone through many incarnations in its life; this incarnation is almost complete.  We found another house.  The other house sits on a hill about 10 minutes from here in a community of only modern homes.  It’s the complete opposite of the house we live in now, but it’s the only other house I can picture us living in.  In my opinion, it’s just gorgeous with its tall ceilings, sleek cabinets and counters, three bedrooms and bathrooms, and a view of the city that stretches for miles, but it’s not ours yet.  We have to have an offer on this house before we can negotiate an offer for it, which is why we are scurrying about to get our house ready.  This post really begs for  a picture of our little house, maybe one from the year we bought it and a current one, but that will have to wait.  My little artist is ready to have her masterpiece hung up to dry and that kitchen isn’t going to pack itself.

Long time no post

So we’ve decided to try to consolidate our postings to one singular blog to help increase our postings.  A lot has happened in the past months.  Lily has really developed a sense of humor.  One joke that she refers to as “funny?” was to put her bowl of spagetti on her head and where it as a hat.

Lily also has started a new school.  We really liked her old place but we could tell she wanted a bit more mental stimuli than it gave her so we signed her up for a 3 day a week spanish immersion school.  The funniest part of this school is they require all children to wear uniforms.  So Lily is starting her private schooling early.

Note, Lily’s shirt is a 3T so it is huge on her.  We were able to order some 2Ts though we’ve had trouble finding shorts that fit her since she has the waist of a 12 month old.  She has been gaining more weight recently since we’ve gut out gluten from her diet.  She also seems to be sleeping better too.

The Little Things

Life is good when you get to really notice and enjoy the little things.  I had a chance to just sit back and enjoy the company of my little girl today as we waiting for Kisha’s yoga class to finish up.  She is just such a fun little girl.

A cold breeze

It got slightly chilly in Austin so we decided to break out the winter coats and Lily did a nice little fashion show for us.

It was there new spokes model showing off the latest MacBook Pro and iPhone models.

Busy Bean

Lily has seriously been slacking at updating her blog.  She has just been too busy taking over the world one air conditioned store at a time.

It is funny or kinda sad but large mega stores have become a second playground these days since it is just so hot during most of the waking hours in Austin right now.  So if we aren’t in water we are terrorizing stores.

PS.  Lily doesn’t really like how society portrays women and young girls on the label of toys. :-)
