7 Years

Dexter @ Ramsey park

It’s just this good of a day (see above). Today is Kisha and my seventh anniversary…yeah it is also New Year’s Eve, but more importantly it is our wedding anniversary. As you all know we are serious players so we spent the day going to get my feet cast for some orthopedic insoles for my poor flat feet and then we took the dogs out to a park to play. We tried to go to Common Ford Park but it is closed on Mondays. We then drove over to Emma Long Park, unfortunately it has a $5 entry fee and all I had in my wallet was $2 cash, so we went over to Ramsey Park. It was still lots of fun and the dogs didn’t really seem to mind. Tonight we have an exciting night of movie rentals and some homemade spinach lasagna.

This New Year is going to be amazing, we are having a baby. Nothing else in the world could compare to this. So from our family to yours, Happy New Years and may yours be as blessed as ours.

Baby Got Some Brand New Socks

We are slowly working to build a baby registry (see link on left of page) so I’ve had baby stuff on the brain. When Kisha and I were off picking up odds and ends at Target the other day I just had to buy these little socks when I saw them. I didn’t put to much thought to socks, as I’ve been putting together the registry with Kisha, but after seeing a close family friend of ours baby over the Holiday and watching the baby work feverishly to take off her socks I knew I needed some socks ASAP…even though we still have a bit more than a few months to go.

Out for a stroll

I’m testing using Flickr to store photos, if it works out then I should start having collection of pics at http://www.flickr.com/photos/themungbeans/

Padre Island

We had a road trip Christmas. We went to Corpus Christi to see Kisha’s Mom, Step-dad and Brother. It was great and the weather was really nice. From there we took the scenic route to Houston to see Ben’s family and on the way we stopped by Padre Island National Seashore where we let the dogs have some fun and run on the beach.
It was great, Dexter really enjoyed himself.

Godiva even had some fun…though she won’t admit it.

Some enjoyed it more than others….

Full Moon

We had a great full moon on Christmas Eve and I was able to snap a pretty cool picture of it from my parents front yard.

Week 19 Belly

Quick update of a very happy Kisha’s week 19 belly. Today was our 120 Day Celebration for our new baby and it was a wonderful celebration and day.

Toys

I’ve been all responsible, but I decided to splurge a little and buy a new digital camera. I picked up a Pentax K10D SLR. It’s a 10.1MP Digital SLR camera. I wanted a new camera so that I could really take lots of baby belly and baby pictures. One big thing I wanted was the ability to take pics inside in low light settings without needing a flash and the only real way to do this is with a manual camera. So here is one of my first pics.

Finally! A good indoor picture of Godiva with no red eye.
