Lily has arrived!

Lily was born today. She’s absolutely perfect at 7lbs 9ozs. Lily and Mom are doing great are resting.  More details and pictures once we have a chance to sleep.

Flowers

What does this flower and me have in common?

Not yet

Just a quick post for the world.  The Mung Bean is still happy and safe inside its nice and comfy womb.  Everyone is doing great and we are just anxiously awaiting the little bean.  Also, the baby countdown counter is very rude and has started counting upward instead of show minus (-).

Hats, Glorious Hats!

Glorious Hats

Knitting has been a constant theme throughout Kisha’s pregnancy. I think it is because she took the word nesting literally and she was trying to copy what the doves in the backyard were doing, interweaving sticks and twigs to build a nest for their little babies. Kisha has produced almost a dozen beautiful hats for the little Mung Bean. There are a couple of hats that probably won’t work well if the baby turns out to be a little boy bean rather than a girl bean but we’ll find those hats good homes if it turns out that way.

All of the running around getting things ready for the baby has really taken its toll on the pets. As you can see below Dexter was just so exhausted from helping getting the baby room setup that he had to take a siesta on the scroll puff rocking chair.

Baby? What baby?

I don’t know what people are talking about, Kisha pregnant?  Weeelllll, maybe (Doctor Who, 11th Doctor, reference).

Its been a busy past few weeks/days.  We’ve been getting things a bit more organized around the house and I’ve been trying to get ahead in school.  Unfortunately the best I’ve been able to do is get myself ahead by a couple of days.  This is a bit of a trick because The Mung Bean is due to join us on the outside this Sunday and my classes are not finished until a couple of weeks past then.  So things are going to get interesting.
