Long hard day at work

Lily had herself a long hard day blogging away about all of the excitement of being a baby in today’s world.

Lily also discovered that touching the camera is a really fun thing to do.

New Toy

We recently bought lily a new “First Bead Maze” by Melissa & Doug.  It’s pretty sweet because it has suction cups on the bottom of it so we can secure it to something and then Lily can go at it.

The pictures make it look like Lily is being very slow and deliberate at moving the little pieces around but in truth she’s just going nuts at them.

The Good Life

Life is pretty darn awesome when you have these two beautiful girls to come home to.

It has also been really nice since we converted Mr. Kitty to an outside cat and Lily now has free run of her playroom.  It has been quite liberating and Mr. Kitty seems to enjoy living on the outside.

Bathtub Fun

So we are not “encouraging” Lily to stand really but sometimes it is too much fun to let her give it a try.  Tonight she was having a blast standing up looking over the edge of the tub.

This one is just to freaking hilarious. And no, she wasn’t scared because papa was trying to join the bath.

Sweaty Baby

It is amazing how much effort it takes for a baby to nurse.  Recently Kisha has started nursing Lily in her sling, it is providing Kisha with so much freedom since it blocks the outside world from Lily and keeps her from being distracted and Kisha can move around some and use her hands.  The funny part of it all is seeing Lily emerge from her feeding all happy and sweaty.

We also bough Lily some Alphabet Blocks from Rootin’ Ridge, its a great little wood toy store in Austin.  I highly recommend clicking the meet the toy makers link.  The blocks are made by Melissa and Doug and are nice and non-toxic.  Rootin’ Ridge made the little box to store them in.  Lily just freakin loves the blocks she really goes nuts trying to grab them all and jostle them around.

Making Friends

While we were out in California we had the chance to meet up with Kisha’s friend, Jaijot and her daughter Ella. As you can tell Lily was quite taken by both of them. I just love seeing Lily with older kids, she just loves them. We also meet up with a couple friends of mine and their young boys, Lily loved them as well, it was just too cute.
