The Mung Beans

So we decided it was time to let Lily try out some solid foods.  After much deliberation we opted to give her some avocado.

I’m not really sure though if this was the reaction that we were suppose to get.  Maybe we’ll try sweet potato or pumpkin next.

She did eventually seem to get into it some and also she really liked the new bamboo spoon.

Also, it is very important to keep the camera away from babies with avocado covered fingers.

The prodigal bean has risen!  And we are so screwed.

Lily has recently decided she wants to stand, she’s learned that she can pull herself up on her play gym and stand up on her own.  She, of course, wants nothing to do with sitting right now.  It’s either crawling or trying to stand.  No wonder why she doesn’t want to sleep, she has so much stuff to do.

Some days and in particular nights are tougher than others.  For some reason Lily just doesn’t want to really sleep right now.  The bad part is she doesn’t want to play either.  I’m starting to think she is trying to get even with us for making her sit in her car seat for hours upon hours going over the Thanksgiving holidays.  Especially when she squeals with delight everytime she wakes up from her psuedo-naps.

On a funny note we found that Lily is quite good at doing the cabbage patch dance and also wigging her butt when dancing to David Bowie’s Under Pressure song.
